We are developing advanced automation tools. These tools cover the entire quality spectrum, from generating synthetic tests to employing LLMs as judges for evaluation, utilizing AI for visual validation, and applying machine learning for cultural relevance classification. This role is key to ensuring Alexa provides a high-quality, culturally relevant experience worldwide.
As a Software Development Engineer in Test, you will spearhead the creation and enhancement of quality assurance automation and frameworks, ensuring the end-to-end quality of Alexa's multi-locale experience. You will drive the strategy, tool selection, quality standards, and best practices for future international customer experiences.
Key responsibilities include establishing a scalable testing framework for multi-locale validation, collaborating with engineers on internationalization (i18n) testing approaches, and building agentic tooling for comprehensive quality evaluation. You will also develop metrics and reports on quality status and system performance across all locales, ensuring culturally appropriate quality bars are met.
We are seeking a proven, hands-on, results-oriented quality assurance software engineer with at least 4 years of professional software development testing experience. A minimum of 2 years of experience in building test automation frameworks and tools is required.
Proficiency in programming with at least one modern object-oriented language such as Java, C++, or C# is essential. Experience with penetration testing, exploitability-focused vulnerability assessment, and platform-level security mitigations and hardening for Linux and Windows is also necessary.
