We are seeking a talented Software Development Engineer II to design, build, and maintain our authentication SDKs and associated services. This role offers the opportunity to own features end-to-end, from initial design through production operations across multiple programming languages, including Java, Python, NodeJS, and Rust.

This position is ideal for an engineer who thrives on tackling complex, high-impact problems in a critical domain where precision and reliability are paramount. You will collaborate closely with security experts, service owners, and business teams to address authentication challenges at scale.

Key responsibilities include architecting and delivering new features for our Security SDKs, guiding them from concept to launch. You will enhance the resilience of our authentication systems by implementing solutions like persistent caching and proactive token refreshes to ensure continuous operation during service disruptions.

You will develop and manage telemetry and compliance tools to monitor token propagation and identify potential security gaps across our vast ecosystem. This role also involves actively participating in the on-call rotation to diagnose and resolve production issues, conducting root-cause analyses, and implementing corrective actions.

Furthermore, you will be responsible for maintaining the health of our SDK development pipelines and release processes, ensuring timely deployments. You will also contribute by authoring clear design documents and actively participating in Operational Readiness Reviews (ORRs) and security assessments. Mentoring junior engineers and interns, while elevating the team's technical standards through rigorous code reviews and insightful design feedback, is also a crucial aspect of this role.

We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 3 years of professional software development experience, excluding internships. A strong foundation in system design and architecture, including familiarity with design patterns, reliability, and scaling of systems, is required, with at least 2 years of experience in this area.

Experience within the Video Games Industry, supporting title development, release, or live operations, is essential for this role. Proficiency in at least one software programming language is a prerequisite. A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification is also required.

Preferred qualifications include over 3 years of experience spanning the entire software development lifecycle, encompassing coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operational aspects. This comprehensive experience will enable you to hit the ground running and make immediate contributions.
