Join Amazon Time & Pay Innovation (T&PA) as a Software Development Engineer II to build large-scale, intelligent products and services within a greenfield environment. You'll leverage a service-oriented architecture and native AWS components to create consumer-grade user experiences.

As a Software Development Engineer, you will lead the identification and resolution of ambiguous problems. You will significantly influence architecture and design while contributing substantial "critical-path" code. Solving challenges at Amazon's exponential scale requires utilizing highly scalable AWS technologies like Lambda, EMR, DynamoDB, S3, Kinesis, and ECS.

Successful candidates will demonstrate strong leadership, effective prioritization, clear communication, and a proven ability to deliver large-scale solutions. You'll participate in all phases of the agile software development lifecycle, including design, architecture, development, documentation, testing, and operations. We encourage pushing design and architecture boundaries through end-to-end, full-stack development ownership.

We are seeking a Software Development Engineer with a minimum of 3 years of professional software development experience (non-internship). A strong background in system design and architecture, including patterns, reliability, and scaling, with at least 2 years of non-internship experience is essential. Proficiency in at least one software programming language is required.

Preferred qualifications include 3+ years of experience across the full software development lifecycle, encompassing coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations. A Bachelor's degree in computer science or an equivalent field is highly valued.
