As a key member of our agile and impactful team, you will play a crucial role in developing and supporting highly scalable, distributed real-time systems. You'll utilize your expertise in Java, object-oriented design patterns, and distributed databases to engineer robust software solutions that address complex and evolving business needs. Design, develop, document, and support massively scalable, distributed real-time systems using Java and advanced storage techniques.
Build and deliver software systems to support complex and rapidly evolving business requirements, focusing on areas like machine learning for routing and signal optimization.
Provide technical leadership within the team, championing best practices, mentoring fellow engineers, and driving continuous improvements in engineering excellence.
Collaborate on key initiatives aimed at supporting the rapid evolution and growth of Amazon's re-commerce operations, tackling some of the most challenging problems in the field.
Possess 3+ years of professional software development experience, excluding internships.
Have a minimum of 2 years of experience in designing or architecting new and existing systems, with a strong understanding of reliability and scaling principles.
Demonstrate proficiency in programming with at least one software programming language.
Experience in the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations, is highly preferred.
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is a plus.
