This position focuses on enhancing the scalability and efficiency of our core services, allowing other engineering teams to concentrate on business logic while you fortify the backbone of Prime Video's resilience.

You will be instrumental in designing and implementing solutions that empower other teams to achieve massive concurrent viewership without compromising performance.
Design and develop robust frameworks and tools to rigorously test the scalability of Prime Video services, ensuring readiness for millions of concurrent viewers without affecting user experience.
Proactively identify and resolve scalability bottlenecks across services by analyzing system dependencies, load patterns, and failure modes, implementing permanent root-cause solutions.
Collaborate closely with various Prime Video service teams, guiding them on scalability challenges, facilitating adoption of your team's frameworks, and coaching them on best practices.
Participate fully in the software development lifecycle, from initial requirements to deployment and operations, maintaining exceptional code quality and comprehensive documentation.
Evaluate emerging technologies and methodologies for scale-readiness tooling, recommending and integrating solutions that are effective yet maintainable.
Minimum of 3 years of professional software development experience, excluding internships.
At least 2 years of experience in designing or architecting new and existing systems, with a strong understanding of design patterns, reliability, and scaling principles.
Proficiency in at least one programming language.
Preferred: 3+ years of experience across the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
Preferred: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
