This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop and own high-scale, low-latency systems that directly enhance delivery speed and reliability. You will be instrumental in designing and building services crucial for optimizing delivery promises for every order.

Key responsibilities include designing, building, and operating robust, scalable, and highly available services that power SSD delivery promises. You will take ownership of features from inception through production, including requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing operations.

This role also involves leading design discussions, driving alignment with partner teams (e.g., Promise, Transportation, Search), and upholding operational excellence through monitoring, alarming, and defect reduction. You will proactively identify and mitigate risks, clearly communicating progress and tradeoffs. Additionally, you will mentor junior engineers and contribute to the team's technical roadmap and continuous system improvement.

We are seeking candidates with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field. A minimum of 3 years of professional software development experience, coupled with 2 years in system design or architecture, is required.

Experience with designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, or distributed software applications using languages like C#, C++, Java, or Perl is essential. A strong foundation in Object-Oriented Design and experience programming with at least one software language are also necessary.
