As a Software Development Engineer II, you will tackle complex, ambiguous business challenges and translate them into elegant technical solutions. You'll leverage object-oriented principles, algorithms, and data structures to construct systems operating at Amazon's massive scale.

Your role involves designing, launching, and re-architecting multi-tier systems that handle substantial data volumes. We thrive in a fast-paced development environment, prioritizing simple, extensible code and adapting quickly to evolving needs.

We seek experienced engineers with at least 3 years of professional software development experience. A strong foundation in system design and architecture, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling, is essential, with a minimum of 2 years in this area.

Proficiency in at least one programming language and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field are required. Experience carrying new design concepts from exploration through development and into deployment is also a key qualification. Preferred candidates will also have experience with the full software development lifecycle in a high-volume, transactional, and distributed system environment.
