As a Software Development Engineer in this critical role, your responsibilities will include:
- Architecting and building large-scale, highly available, and low-latency distributed systems. - Collaborating with your team to design, implement, rigorously test, release, and maintain software solutions of significant complexity. - Proposing, developing, and refining innovative new solutions for production deployment. - Taking end-to-end ownership of vital components essential for maintaining Amazon's and its businesses' compliance.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 3 years of professional software development experience, excluding internships. - At least 2 years of experience in designing or architecting new and existing systems, demonstrating proficiency in design patterns, reliability, and scaling principles. - Demonstrated experience programming in at least one software programming language.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Over 3 years of comprehensive experience across the full software development life cycle, encompassing coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations. - A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
