As a Software Development Engineer II, you will craft software solutions with a focus on extensibility across various use cases, products, and geographies with minimal additional technical effort. You will design systems capable of triggering necessary verifications based on applicable policies and storing these decisions for efficient reuse, reducing redundant checks.

Furthermore, you will ensure these solutions are accessible to authorized users via APIs. The software you build will be sophisticated enough to counter advanced malicious activities, protecting the marketplace at Amazon's immense scale.

This involves designing and developing custom distributed systems that surpass standard industry practices. These data-centric systems must adeptly detect patterns within Amazon's vast customer base in real-time, adapt to evolving threats, and maintain high availability, low latency, and exceptional quality.

We are seeking candidates with a minimum of 3 years of professional software development experience, excluding internships. A strong foundation in system design and architecture, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling of new and existing systems, is required (2+ years).

Experience within the Video Games Industry, specifically supporting title development, release, or live operations, is a prerequisite (3+ years). Proficiency in at least one programming language is essential.

Preferred qualifications include extensive experience (3+ years) across the full software development life cycle, encompassing coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is also highly valued.
