Join the Selling Partner Identity Verification (SPIV) team at Amazon, dedicated to ensuring a secure and trustworthy marketplace for both customers and sellers. We are building an advanced platform that provides end-to-end identity verification and account lifecycle management for various Amazon businesses globally. This critical role contributes to safeguarding customers from fraudulent activities and enabling seamless registration and account management across platforms like Mechanical Turk, Selling on Amazon, Amazon Pay, and Amazon Flex.

As an engineer on the SPIV team, you will leverage a strong foundation in computer science fundamentals and gain practical experience with large-scale distributed systems. A key aspect of this role involves working with web services-based applications designed for massive scale.

You will be instrumental in the design and architecture of new and existing systems, focusing on reliability and scalability. Your contributions will directly impact the development of complex software systems, ensuring they meet the high standards of Amazon's global operations.

To excel in this role, you should possess a minimum of 3 years of professional software development experience, excluding internships. Furthermore, you need at least 2 years of experience in designing or architecting new and existing systems, with a solid understanding of design patterns, reliability, and scaling principles.

Demonstrated experience in building complex software systems for 3+ years is essential. Proficiency in at least one programming language is a prerequisite. While a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field is preferred, a strong understanding of software development lifecycle processes, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations, will set you apart.
