As a Software Development Engineer II, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and deploying cutting-edge Supply Chain Software and Applications. You will collaborate closely with business leaders, data engineers, and data scientists to craft innovative, customer-centric solutions that enhance the AWS Infrastructure Supply Chain & Procurement operations.

This role involves full software development lifecycle ownership, from initial concept to deployment in the AWS Cloud. You will contribute to greenfield projects, building scalable, secure, and distributed applications from the ground up. Experience with modern technologies like reactive microservices, serverless computing, and distributed NoSQL data stores will be key.

Architect and implement scalable solutions addressing complex architectural and business challenges.

Collaborate with business leaders, Data Engineers, and Data Scientists to translate business needs into effective software solutions.

Design robust client-side and server-side architectures for Supply Chain applications.

Develop high-quality, modular, functional, and testable code.

Build and deploy functional databases, applications, and servers to support Supply Chain platforms.

Create effective APIs and author comprehensive technical specifications and documentation.

Conduct thorough software testing, troubleshooting, debugging, and application upgrades.

Mentor junior engineers, guiding them in design, coding, and troubleshooting best practices.

Communicate and collaborate effectively within a global team environment.

Possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Have at least 5 years of professional software development experience, excluding internships.

Demonstrate 3+ years of experience in designing or architecting new and existing systems, including familiarity with design patterns, reliability, and scaling.

Proficiency in at least one software programming language is essential.

Experience with the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations, is highly valued.

Proven experience in building and successfully delivering complex software systems to customers.

Strong communication skills for gathering requirements and explaining technical designs to users, technical teams, and management.

Familiarity with Supply Chain Planning and Procurement systems is considered an advantage.
