This role operates in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You will leverage the AI-Driven Development Lifecycle (AIDLC) and adhere to our engineering principles to accelerate delivery and implement features incrementally. Ownership is paramount, encompassing the entire feature lifecycle from customer-centric ideation through design, implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing production support. You will be instrumental in shaping the future of global payment systems.

Take full ownership of features and components within our payment systems, driving them from concept to production. While business objectives and technical direction will be provided, the specific implementation strategy is yours to define.

Design robust solutions and skillfully navigate technical tradeoffs, working independently and collaborating with senior engineers on complex challenges or when aligning with architectural vision.

Engage directly with product managers and key stakeholders, including finance, tax, and accounts payable operations, to deeply understand their needs and ensure the development of impactful solutions. Provide direct feedback on requirements and challenge assumptions when necessary.

Implement features through staged rollouts and continuous measurement, prioritizing safe and incremental delivery for significant payment system changes.

Enhance system reliability and reduce operational overhead by transforming recurring manual tasks into automated code fixes or self-healing mechanisms.

Ensure the maintainability and extensibility of your work through clear documentation and well-reasoned design choices, enabling future engineers to understand and build upon your contributions.

Elevate the team's capabilities through constructive code reviews, mentoring junior engineers, and onboarding new team members to our software development and operational practices.

We are actively building with agentic AI, integrating it across the entire development lifecycle. You will utilize AI agents for tasks such as exploring new systems, drafting and reviewing designs, generating and testing code, triaging production issues, and automating operational workflows.

As a strong director of these AI agents, you will rigorously verify their output, retaining ultimate accountability for all shipped code, whether personally written or agent-generated.

Furthermore, you will contribute to building agentic capabilities directly into our systems, automating complex decisions and investigations that traditionally required human intervention.
