The FBA Defects Prevention team operates at the intersection of sellers, fulfillment technology, robotics, and carriers. Your work will involve identifying, root-causing, and ultimately preventing issues within Amazon's highly scaled and complex inbound supply chain.
This is a unique opportunity to work on challenging problems that impact Amazon's cost to serve and ensure efficient seller inbound shipments. The space is ripe for innovation, with potential to leverage cutting-edge technologies like Generative AI for analysis and communication.
Identify and prevent defects within the FBA supply chain by collaborating with sellers, fulfillment technology, robotics, and carriers.
Detect, root cause, and gather evidence for supply chain issues, such as incorrect items, improper labeling, wrong destinations, or inadequate preparation.
Analyze complex and often contradictory network signals to determine ground truth and identify solutions.
Drive projects that yield substantial cost savings for Amazon through defect prevention and resolution.
Explore and implement new technologies, including Generative AI, to analyze patterns, assess root causes, evaluate image data, and craft effective seller communications.
Possess at least 3 years of professional software development experience, excluding internships.
Have 2+ years of experience in designing or architecting new and existing systems, including knowledge of design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
Demonstrate proficiency in at least one software programming language.
Experience with the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations is highly preferred.
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
