As an early engineer on the Buyer Safety Experience team in Bengaluru, you will play a key role in building and scaling a high-performing team. You will collaborate closely with global stakeholders across Program and Product management, focusing on customer-centric solutions to make Amazon the safest online shopping destination.
Key responsibilities include contributing to hiring and mentoring team members, ensuring high engineering standards, and influencing future SDEs. You will be instrumental in shaping long-term architecture, driving technical decisions, and establishing robust design and coding best practices. Collaboration with international teams, including senior leadership within the Trustworthy Shopping Experience organization, TPMs, and PM-Ts, will be integral to your role.
We are seeking engineers with a minimum of 3 years of professional software development experience, excluding internships. A strong background of at least 2 years in designing and architecting new and existing systems, focusing on reliability and scalability, is required. Candidates must possess 3+ years of experience in building complex software systems and proficiency in at least one programming language.
Preferred qualifications include 3+ years of experience across the full software development lifecycle, encompassing coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
