As an early engineer on the Buyer Safety Experience team in Bengaluru, you will play a key role in building and expanding our team while collaborating closely with global Program and Product stakeholders. Your primary focus will be on developing customer-centric solutions to establish Amazon as the safest online shopping destination globally.

This role involves significant contributions to hiring and mentorship, fostering a high standard of engineering excellence within the team. You will also deeply engage with technical decision-making processes, influence long-term architectural strategies, and establish robust design and coding best practices. Close collaboration with international teams, including the VP-level Trustworthy Shopping Experience organization, along with TPMs and PM-Ts, will be integral to your success.

We are seeking individuals with at least 3 years of professional software development experience, excluding internships. A minimum of 2 years of experience in designing or architecting new and existing systems, focusing on patterns, reliability, and scalability, is essential.

Candidates should also possess over 3 years of experience in building complex software systems and proficiency in at least one programming language. Preferred qualifications include 3+ years of experience across the full software development lifecycle, encompassing coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
