Design, develop, and maintain a world-class OpenSearch Service capable of managing thousands of search domains. Prioritize scalability, performance, robustness, and cost-efficiency within a highly-virtualized, elastic cloud environment. Utilize scientific analysis and mathematical modeling to predict and measure system performance. Drive continuous improvement and automation of distributed systems and tools to meet evolving market demands. Collaborate with a dedicated operations team for 24x7 service availability. Contribute to the strategic vision for OpenSearch Service, aligning with business objectives, and actively invent the future of search. Mentor fellow Software Development Engineers and advise leadership on technical direction.
A minimum of 3 years of professional software development experience (non-internship) is required. Candidates should possess over 2 years of experience in designing or architecting new and existing systems, focusing on patterns, reliability, and scaling. Proficiency with big data technologies such as AWS, Hadoop, Spark, Pig, Hive, Lucene/SOLR, or Storm/Samza is essential. Demonstrated experience programming in at least one software language is a must. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred, along with 3+ years of experience in the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
