This role is central to our mission of optimizing fulfillment. You'll contribute to the development of sophisticated systems that provide insights into vast amounts of data generated by material handling automation, machine vision, and robotics. As a key member of the team, you will design, develop, and test software components that integrate with advanced fulfillment center technologies. You will focus on building high-quality software adhering to best practices and rigorous coding standards. This includes designing scalable data store solutions for low-latency access and participating in code and design reviews.

You will also be responsible for estimating development tasks, negotiating timelines, and mentoring junior engineers. Effective communication of technical concepts to stakeholders and participation in deep technical discussions to drive optimal customer solutions are crucial. Proactively identifying and mitigating technical and project risks is also a core aspect of this role.

We are looking for experienced software engineers with a strong background in building robust, scalable systems. A minimum of 3 years of professional software development experience, outside of internships, is required. Additionally, you should have at least 2 years of experience in designing or architecting new and existing systems, focusing on reliability and scalability. Proficiency in at least one software programming language is essential.

Preferred qualifications include extensive experience across the full software development life cycle, encompassing coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is highly desirable. Experience with cloud services, IoT technologies, and data store solutions would be beneficial.
