As a Software Development Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing and deploying software systems for a context-aware assistant. This role spans the entire software development lifecycle, from problem definition and system design to implementation, deployment, and operations. You'll build privacy-first solutions that handle millions of daily communication events.

Key responsibilities include designing and implementing software services that map customer connection graphs, developing scalable backend systems integrating large language models for predictive communication, and collaborating with scientists and product managers to translate research into production features. You will contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, including scoping, design, code review, testing, deployment, and operational support. Furthermore, you will identify and resolve operational issues, continuously enhancing system reliability, maintainability, and performance.

We seek candidates with a minimum of 3 years of professional software development experience (non-internship) and 2+ years in designing or architecting new and existing systems, focusing on reliability and scaling. Proficiency in at least one software programming language is essential. A strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations, is highly preferred. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is also advantageous.
