This role offers an exciting opportunity for a Software Development Engineer II to construct the essential systems and consumer-facing features that enable large-scale, trustworthy AI. You will collaborate closely with Principal Engineers and Managers to design and implement advanced privacy-preserving AI architectures, robust responsible AI frameworks, and inclusive accessibility features.

This is a pivotal position where you will address intricate technical challenges at the nexus of AI innovation and customer trust. You will skillfully balance performance with privacy, develop understandable AI systems, and create safeguards that protect customers while ensuring delightful user experiences.

Key responsibilities include developing privacy-preserving AI systems by designing and implementing federated learning and differential privacy techniques for on-device and hybrid architectures. You will build data pipelines that prioritize privacy, minimize data collection, and create consent management frameworks for customer control. Architecting on-device versus cloud processing trade-offs to optimize privacy and performance is crucial.

Furthermore, you will develop consumer-facing trust features, including explainable AI interfaces to clarify AI decision-making processes and transparency controls for data usage. Creating privacy dashboards and settings that empower customers with meaningful control over their AI interactions, alongside implementing cross-device identity management with privacy-first principles, are core to this role.

Address technical challenges such as balancing latency with privacy guarantees through on-device processing and selective cloud offloading. Aim to significantly reduce AI hallucinations while maintaining high accuracy across diverse queries. Develop privacy controls for ambient computing environments and architect multimodal AI systems that preserve privacy across text, voice, and visual inputs. Implement low-latency evaluation systems for real-time assessment of model outputs.

Essential qualifications include a minimum of 3 years of professional software development experience, excluding internships, and 2 years of experience in designing or architecting new and existing systems, focusing on design patterns, reliability, and scaling. A minimum of 3 years supporting title development, release, or live operations within the Video Games Industry is also required, alongside proficiency in at least one software programming language.

Preferred qualifications encompass extensive experience across the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is highly beneficial.
