Join Amazon's rapidly scaling Quick Commerce (QC) business and help build the next generation of fulfillment technology from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity to design and develop large-scale, distributed systems that directly impact how millions of customers experience ultra-fast delivery.

As a Software Development Engineer, you will be instrumental in creating the brand-new QC fulfillment stack on AFT foundations. You will contribute to systems that power micro-stores, covering everything from receiving to last-mile handoff, enabling store associates to delight customers with 10-minute delivery.

Design, build, and maintain scalable services and APIs for the QC fulfillment stack. Develop systems that enforce operational controls in external fulfillment environments with 3P partners. Collaborate with senior engineers and product managers to define impactful technical solutions. Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code adhering to Amazon's engineering best practices. Drive improvements in system performance, reliability, and operational efficiency. Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical planning sessions. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to raising the team's engineering standards.

We are seeking candidates with at least 3 years of professional software development experience, excluding internships. Demonstrated experience of at least 2 years in designing or architecting new and existing systems, focusing on reliability and scaling is essential. Proficiency in at least one software programming language is required.

Preferred qualifications include experience across the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is advantageous. Experience with agile/scrum workflows, operating highly available distributed systems, or processing large datasets is beneficial. Adaptability and the ability to complete complex tasks quickly in a fast-paced, high-tech environment are valued.
