Amazon's Quick Commerce (QC) business is experiencing rapid growth across numerous cities, processing hundreds of thousands of orders daily with ambitious expansion plans. We are developing a novel QC under-the-roof fulfillment stack, leveraging AFT foundations. Be a key part of the QC Fulfillment Technology team, creating sophisticated, composable, work-cell-based systems for our micro-stores. These systems will manage everything from inbound receiving and guided stowing to picking, staging, and final handoff, empowering store associates to deliver exceptional 10-minute delivery experiences.

Key responsibilities include designing, building, and maintaining robust, scalable services and APIs for the QC fulfillment infrastructure. You will develop systems that ensure operational controls extend beyond Amazon's own sites, encompassing external fulfillment environments managed by our 3P partners. This involves close collaboration with Senior SDEs, Principal Engineers, TPMs, and Product Managers to craft technical solutions addressing large-scale fulfillment challenges. A core aspect of the role is writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code aligned with Amazon's engineering best practices, while actively driving improvements in system performance, reliability, and operational efficiency to achieve industry-leading speeds. Expect active participation in code reviews, design discussions, and technical planning, alongside mentoring junior engineers to elevate the team's overall engineering capabilities within a fast-paced, agile setting with rapid iteration cycles.

Candidates should possess a minimum of 3 years of professional software development experience, excluding internships. Additionally, at least 2 years of experience in designing or architecting new and existing systems, focusing on reliability and scaling, is required. Proficiency in at least one software programming language is essential.

Preferred qualifications include over 3 years of experience across the full software development lifecycle, encompassing coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is advantageous, as is experience in program management, logistics, operations, supply chain, or transportation.
