Our QC business is experiencing rapid growth, fulfilling hundreds of thousands of orders daily with ambitious expansion plans. We are constructing a brand-new fulfillment stack on existing AFT foundations to power our micro-stores. This involves creating sophisticated systems for receiving, stowing, picking, staging, and last-mile handoff, designed to empower thousands of store associates in delivering exceptional 10-minute delivery experiences.

As a Software Development Engineer (SDE) on the QC Fulfillment Technology team, you will be responsible for the end-to-end design, development, and operation of scalable fulfillment services. This is a true 0→1 initiative where your contributions will significantly shape Quick Commerce operations at Amazon.

Key responsibilities include designing, building, and maintaining scalable services and APIs for the QC fulfillment stack. You will develop systems that ensure operational control not only within Amazon sites but also in external fulfillment environments through 3P partners.

Collaborate closely with Senior SDEs, Principal Engineers, TPMs, and Product Managers to devise technical solutions for large-scale fulfillment challenges. Craft clean, maintainable, and thoroughly tested code adhering to Amazon's engineering best practices. Drive continuous enhancements in system performance, reliability, and operational efficiency, aiming for industry-leading speeds.

Actively participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical planning sessions. Mentor junior engineers, contributing to the overall engineering excellence of the team. Thrive in a fast-paced, agile setting with rapid iteration cycles, delivering new capabilities in weeks rather than months.

We are seeking candidates with at least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience. A minimum of 2 years of experience in designing or architecting new and existing systems, focusing on reliability and scaling, is also required. Proficiency in at least one programming language is essential.

Preferred qualifications include 3+ years of experience across the full software development lifecycle, encompassing coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is advantageous. Experience in program management, logistics, operations, supply chain, or transportation would be a significant asset.
