NTT DATA seeks innovative and passionate individuals to join our growing team. We are looking for a Software Development Advisor to provide expert operational and engineering support for various database platforms. This role focuses on PostgreSQL on Azure and Snowflake, with secondary support for MongoDB, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, and SQL Server environments. You will be instrumental in ensuring database integrity, security, and availability to meet critical business needs.

Key duties involve administering and supporting PostgreSQL on Azure and Snowflake Data Warehouse environments. Responsibilities include database monitoring, performance tuning, capacity management, and providing guidance to application developers on schema design and SQL optimization. You will also manage installations, upgrades, incident and problem resolution, and backup/disaster recovery planning. Ensuring database security, managing access controls, supporting production deployments, and automating DBA tasks through scripting are also vital. Secondary responsibilities include troubleshooting MongoDB, Oracle on OCI, and SQL Server on Windows, supporting data migration initiatives, and participating in on-call activities.

This role requires a minimum of 8 years of database administration experience, with at least 2 years dedicated to Snowflake and PostgreSQL administration. Proven experience supporting mission-critical production environments and working within ITIL support processes is essential. Mandatory technical skills include expert-level knowledge of PostgreSQL on Azure and Snowflake, and intermediate knowledge of MongoDB, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, and Microsoft SQL Server on Windows. Strong proficiency in database design concepts, deep SQL knowledge, query tuning, backup/recovery, high availability, disaster recovery, and database security is required. Experience with shell scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell), Linux/Windows Server administration, Azure/OCI cloud services, CI/CD, Git, monitoring tools, and Infrastructure as Code is also necessary. Excellent collaboration, proactive initiative, team-playing, and strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills are expected.
