Join Amazon Devices and contribute to revolutionary consumer electronics, from the best-selling Kindle to groundbreaking devices like Fire TV and Amazon Echo. This role focuses on developing the kernel stack and Board Support Package (BSP) for diverse System-on-Chips (SoCs) with custom hardware accelerators, destined for a variety of Amazon devices.

You will engineer software for industry-standard and custom hardware intellectual property (IP) to enhance applications in machine learning, computer vision, and robotics.

Key responsibilities include developing and modifying BSPs, encompassing bootloaders (ATF, OPTEE, u-boot), device drivers, and kernel/device tree support. You will also be involved in initial hardware bring-up and system integration.

Further duties involve maintaining and updating the embedded Linux Yocto distribution, as well as managing a continuous integration environment, including software release packaging and deployment. Experience with USB drivers is essential.

Ideal candidates possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, coupled with over three years of professional software development experience outside of internships. Proficiency in embedded development using C/C++ is required.

Demonstrated hands-on experience with bootloaders (ATF, OPTEE, or u-boot) and Linux kernel internals is crucial. Proven experience in developing device controller or host client drivers is also a must.
