This role involves developing software for both industry-standard and custom hardware intellectual property (IP) to enhance applications in machine learning, computer vision, and robotics. As a Kernel Engineer, you will be instrumental in developing and modifying BSPs, including bootloaders (ATF, OPTEE, or u-boot), device drivers, and ensuring kernel and device tree support. You will also be responsible for initial hardware bring-up and system integration.
Your duties will extend to maintaining and updating the embedded Linux Yocto distribution. Furthermore, you will manage a continuous integration environment, overseeing the packaging and deployment of software releases. Experience with USB drivers is essential for this position.
We are seeking candidates with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 3 years in non-internship professional software development. A strong background in embedded development using C/C++ is required.
Hands-on experience with bootloaders such as ATF, OPTEE, or u-boot is essential, alongside deep knowledge of Linux kernel internals. Proven experience in developing device controller or host client drivers is also a key requirement for this role.
