As a key member of the Block Storage team, you will take ownership of the software design and development for critical components within our Block Storage Service. This role demands a strong programming foundation and expertise in distributed systems, allowing you to deeply engage with all layers of the technology stack, from low-level systems to broad distributed system interactions.

You will be instrumental in designing and developing major components of the Block Storage Service Infrastructure. The ideal candidate is a proficient coder and a versatile distributed systems specialist, capable of tackling complex challenges and contributing to scalable, simple, and collaborative development within an agile framework.

We are seeking experienced engineers with a proven track record of at least 3 to 5 years in delivering large-scale, highly available distributed systems and backend services. Candidates should possess extensive experience in writing clean code, preferably in C/C++ or similar programming languages, alongside proficiency in scripting languages like Python.

A strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, multi-threading, and the fundamental principles of distributed systems is essential. Familiarity with networking protocols such as TCP/IP and HTTP is also required. Experience with tiered storage solutions is a plus.
