Join Amazon's Customer Service team as a Software Development Engineer (SDE2) within Planning Intelligence (PI). PI serves as the AI-native core for Amazon CS, developing advanced predictive intelligence to forecast demand, enable autonomous planning, and optimize resource allocation. You will own the end-to-end software development lifecycle, from initial scoping and design to coding, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance. Additionally, you will contribute to operational excellence by identifying and resolving root causes of issues and actively participating in code reviews to foster a high-quality codebase. We are looking for an engineer with at least 3 years of professional software development experience, alongside 2+ years focused on designing or architecting new and existing systems, including understanding design patterns, reliability, and scaling. Proficiency in at least one programming language is essential. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred, along with experience across the full software development lifecycle, encompassing coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations. Experience with AI, machine learning, and distributed systems is highly valued.
