Join Amazon Leo, a revolutionary low Earth orbit satellite network aiming to deliver fast, reliable internet to underserved areas. This role is central to establishing our presence in India and developing critical commerce systems for global operations.

We are looking for experienced and innovative Software Development Engineers to contribute to our founding team. This position involves significant opportunities to shape product strategy and build scalable, distributed cloud architectures.

Be aware that this role may involve access to information subject to U.S. export control laws. Employment is contingent upon obtaining necessary export licenses.

Key responsibilities include active participation in product strategy and UI presentation, designing and implementing globally available distributed cloud architectures, and partnering with cross-functional teams like AWS, retail e-commerce, networking, and security.

You will be involved in all phases of new feature development, from ideation and design exploration to technical design and implementation using modern technologies and design patterns. Collaboration with Product Managers and UX Designers is crucial for ensuring an optimal customer experience.

We require a minimum of 3 years of professional software development experience and 2 years in system design or architecture, focusing on reliability and scaling. Proficiency in at least one programming language is essential.

Preferred qualifications include 3+ years of experience across the full software development lifecycle, encompassing coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations. A Master's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field is also beneficial.
