Join the AWS Infrastructure Services team, the backbone of Amazon Web Services, responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of global infrastructure. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team, including software, hardware, and network engineers, as well as supply chain specialists and operations managers. Your role will involve collaborating across AWS to maintain the highest safety and security standards while optimizing capacity and cost for our customers. These projects represent a unique chance to build large-scale distributed applications from the ground up using cutting-edge technologies like reactive microservices, serverless computing, and distributed NoSQL data stores. We seek individuals with a strong grasp of fundamental algorithms and system design, capable of producing exceptionally robust code.

Solve complex architectural and business challenges to develop scalable solutions. Write high-quality, modular, functional, and testable code. Provide formal mentorship to junior engineers on design, coding best practices, and troubleshooting techniques. Communicate and collaborate effectively within a global team environment.

Possess at least 3 years of experience across the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations. Have 2+ years of experience in designing or architecting new and existing systems, with a focus on design patterns, reliability, and scaling. Demonstrate proficiency in at least one software programming language. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
