Join AWS Infrastructure Services, the team responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We ensure the cloud runs smoothly by supporting AWS data centers and all associated equipment. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to greenfield projects within a new AWS organization, building large-scale distributed applications from the ground up.
We are developing cutting-edge systems utilizing technologies such as reactive microservices, serverless computing, and distributed NoSQL data stores. If you possess a strong grasp of fundamental algorithms and system design, and excel at producing robust code, your skills are highly sought after. We seek individuals passionate about high-quality design and components, with a creative approach to solving challenging problems.
Key responsibilities include solving complex architecture and business challenges to deliver scalable solutions. You will write high-quality, modular, functional, and testable code. A significant aspect of this role involves formally mentoring junior engineers in design, coding, and troubleshooting best practices. Effective communication, collaboration, and the ability to work seamlessly within a global team environment are essential.
A minimum of 3 years of experience across the full software development life cycle is required, encompassing coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations. Additionally, at least 2 years of non-internship experience in design or architecture, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling of new and existing systems, is necessary. Proficiency in at least one software programming language is mandatory. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
