As a Software Development Engineer (L5), you will lead the design and development of configuration-driven platforms essential for swift business launches and transforming real-time events into financial data. You'll also explore AI-based solutions to enhance financial event processing and data integrity.

This is an opportunity to work on multi-billion dollar businesses in a trillion-dollar market, utilizing technologies like AWS and EC2, while exploring cutting-edge AI/ML solutions to create highly scalable systems. You will collaborate with diverse teams, including Fulfillment Services, Retail Systems, and Financial Systems, to automate and simplify financial event booking from transaction to internal accounting.

Key responsibilities include designing, implementing, and deploying highly available web services and applications. You will leverage expertise in performance, scalability, and enterprise system architecture to build robust solutions.

This role involves researching and implementing AI/ML solutions to boost automation, accuracy, and efficiency in financial event processing. You will be tasked with decomposing complex problems into elegant solutions and collaborating with cross-functional teams to define technical specifications and implementation plans.

Operate effectively in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment, balancing technical leadership with business acumen. You will also be involved in writing and reviewing code, creating documentation, and responding to operational issues.

The ideal candidate possesses a proven background in developing high-volume, highly available services, with at least 3 years of professional software development experience. Strong technical ability, excellent communication skills, and a results-oriented mindset are essential.

Candidates should have 2+ years of experience in designing or architecting new and existing systems, focusing on reliability and scaling. Proficiency in at least one software programming language is required.

Experience with the full software development lifecycle, including code standards, reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations, is highly preferred. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is also preferred.
