As a Snowflake Data Engineer, you will be instrumental in client engagement and delivery, focusing on developing robust data pipelines. Your responsibilities will span across Snowflake and cloud data platforms, including designing data architecture and implementing effective data models. You will collaborate closely with various teams, promoting best practices in data engineering, and ensuring high standards of quality and governance.

This role involves building strong business relationships with Solution Architects, fellow Data Engineers, Developers, Analysts, and client stakeholders up to leadership levels. You will actively participate in ensuring the successful implementation and adoption of data solutions, contributing to the overall technical vision and execution.

We are looking for a proven Data Engineer with extensive experience in developing data pipelines on Snowflake and cloud-native platforms. Essential competencies include strong consulting values, effective client-facing collaboration, and expertise across the entire data lifecycle – from ingestion and transformation to modelling, governance, and consumption. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills are crucial.

Technical expertise should include deep knowledge of Snowflake features such as warehouses, Snowpark, data sharing, and performance tuning. Proficiency in ETL/ELT tools like DBT, Matillion, or Talend, along with strong SQL and Python skills, is required. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and familiarity with data modelling methodologies are also necessary. Experience with version control tools and CI/CD pipelines, alongside an understanding of data governance and security, will be highly valued. A university degree is required, with a BSc/MSc in a related field and Snowflake certifications being highly desirable.
