NTT DATA seeks a skilled Snowflake Data Engineer with extensive experience to drive a data transformation and modernization initiative. This role is crucial for migrating data from legacy systems to a robust cloud-based data platform. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable ELT pipelines and advanced data layers within Snowflake, ensuring high data quality and performance.

Key responsibilities include designing, developing, and deploying scalable data pipelines and transformation solutions using Snowflake and dbt. You will build and manage L2/L3 data layers, ensuring data is cleansed, conformed, and ready for analytics. This involves developing dbt models, implementing ELT pipelines for data ingestion from diverse sources, and supporting legacy-to-cloud data migration. You will also write complex SQL queries, design dimensional models, implement data quality checks, optimize Snowflake performance and cost, manage security controls, and create comprehensive technical documentation. Production support and incident resolution are also vital aspects of this role.

A minimum of 7 years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or ETL/ELT development is required. Specifically, 3+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake development, implementation, and performance tuning is essential. Strong expertise in dbt Core/Cloud, advanced SQL skills including query tuning and window functions, and a solid understanding of Snowflake architecture are mandatory. Experience with building L2/L3 transformation layers, dimensional data modeling, legacy data migration, and ELT/ETL pipeline development is also crucial. Familiarity with Snowflake security, at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP), Python/Shell scripting, Git, and CI/CD tools is expected. Experience with Fivetran or similar ingestion tools is preferred.
