NTT DATA is seeking a motivated SMART Hands - Systems Integration Advisor to join our dynamic team in Bangalore, India. This role focuses on providing essential on-site support for physical datacenter operations, infrastructure, and transition coordination. The ideal candidate will possess practical experience in datacenter environments and server rooms, supporting daily activities and gathering critical information for transitions.

This position requires comfort with a field-based support model, encompassing rack-and-stack tasks, cabling, hardware management, inventory validation, and remote hands support. You will also play a key role in documenting existing site infrastructure and operational processes as part of takeover programs.

Provide critical Smart Hands support for physical datacenter and site infrastructure activities, including rack and stack operations for servers, storage, and network hardware. You will manage cabling, patching, labeling, and hardware installations/de-installations. Responsibilities also include supporting device diagnostics, hardware replacements, and coordinating with remote engineering teams for physical task execution and troubleshooting. Additionally, you will gather and validate detailed information on site locations, rack layouts, inventory, power, network connectivity, access procedures, and operational processes. Assist in creating site-wise inventories and transition repositories, verifying physical assets against documentation, and supporting due diligence for new site onboarding.

This role requires a minimum of 3 to 7 years of experience in Smart Hands, Datacenter Support, or Field Infrastructure Support, with a background in handling multiple distributed datacenter environments. A Diploma or Bachelor's degree in IT, Electronics, Computer Science, or a related field is essential. Mandatory skills include hands-on experience in physical datacenter/site support, a strong understanding of rack-and-stack, structured cabling, hardware handling, inventory, and onsite troubleshooting. Familiarity with hardware labeling, rack elevation documentation, basic network/server/storage hardware, datacenter safety, security, and change procedures is also crucial. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with remote teams, vendors, and stakeholders are expected. Experience in transition/takeover projects, CMDB, ticketing tools, and knowledge of common OEM hardware are considered advantageous.
