We are dedicated to providing a fully managed service offering sub-millisecond data access, high availability, and robust scalability for diverse applications. Our focus is on delivering solutions including Memorystore for Redis, Memorystore for Redis Cluster, and Valkey.

As a manager, you will guide a team of software and systems engineers, overseeing iteration and task planning while fostering a positive team environment. Key responsibilities include setting team priorities, driving OKR execution in collaboration with SRE leadership and cross-functional partners, and establishing strong relationships with development and stakeholder teams.

You will build technical credibility and influence the team's technical direction and delivery quality. This role involves participation in the primary on-call rotation, cultivating a growth mindset, technical curiosity, and promoting a blameless postmortem culture within the team.

We seek experienced professionals with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, coupled with a minimum of 8 years in software development.

Preferred qualifications include experience with languages like C++, C, Java, Python, or Go, alongside a background in engineering or operations roles within distributed systems and large-scale environments. Expertise in building and managing results-oriented engineering teams for large-scale projects, coupled with strong problem-solving skills for global distributed systems and excellent communication abilities, are highly valued.
