Join a pioneering team focused on custom silicon development within Google's consumer hardware division. As a Software Engineering Manager, you will lead a team in architecting and executing software strategies for pre-silicon and post-silicon validation. This role involves developing essential system software, including boot platforms and low-level drivers, crucial for silicon validation and execution across various SoC families. You will also drive the development of firmware and system software for key intellectual property blocks, encompassing power, peripherals, and memory modules. This is an opportunity to shape the future of hardware and software integration, contributing to innovative technologies that enhance computing power and user experiences.
Our mission is to create a unified development platform that spans emulators, simulators, and actual silicon. We build portable, reusable system software adaptable to different SoC families and tiers. The team supports system software deployment for critical stages like tape-out, bring-up, and validation, ensuring seamless integration within Silicon Validation (SiVal) and System Level Test (SLT). By combining Google's expertise in AI, Software, and Hardware, we aim to develop groundbreaking technologies that make computing faster, more seamless, and powerful, ultimately improving people's lives.
