Drive the innovation behind silicon chip operations by developing essential firmware and software. This role involves creating pre-silicon firmware and software with direct hardware integration, building and refining C tests and APIs, and managing the software build pipeline. You'll play a key part in design and code reviews, alongside thorough testing and validation of product implementations.
Contribute to the entire audio system software lifecycle, from analysis and design to coding and testing. Collaborate with diverse teams to deliver robust software solutions, including enhancements for existing systems. You will be responsible for producing high-quality code and ensuring seamless integration of all software components to meet stringent project standards.
Key responsibilities include: - Owning tasks and becoming a subject matter expert. - Actively participating in team discussions and problem-solving. - Supporting audio subsystem bring-up across EVT/DVT/PVT phases. - Performing issue triage, root cause analysis, and validating fixes. - Analyzing audio logs, traces, and dumps for insights. - Translating requirements into technical specifications through cross-functional collaboration. - Ensuring optimal performance through rigorous testing and debugging. - Documenting designs, code changes, and testing procedures for clarity and maintainability.
We are seeking experienced professionals with a strong foundation in C/C++ programming and analytical problem-solving. A solid understanding of embedded systems, including RTOS, interrupts, and tasks, is crucial. Prior experience with device drivers (Linux or Windows) and embedded or OS-level audio stacks is required. Expertise in audio systems and software engineering, with familiarity with audio streaming frameworks like OpenMax, SOF, and ALSA, is essential.
Candidates should possess a good grasp of audio architectures (CODEC, DSP, AMP, I2S, TDM, PCM, SoundWire, etc.) and demonstrate strong debugging skills across drivers, firmware, DSP, and OS layers. Familiarity with tools like CRO, Logic Analyzers, and Audio Precision, along with an understanding of schematics, datasheets, and build systems (CMake, Makefiles), is highly valued. A minimum of 2 years of experience in Embedded C++ is mandatory.
