Proficiency in Embedded Linux platform/BSP development, including hands-on experience with U Boot, Linux kernel, Device Tree, and Yocto. Solid grasp of Linux internals, covering bootflow, IPC, memory management (MMU), interrupts, and SMP. Familiarity with Custom Hardware Bring-up for controllers like ARM, Power PC, and X86, with hands-on SoC/platform bring-up experience. Ability to optimize memory usage (stack/heap tuning, memory pools) and perform system-level profiling using tools such as perf, strace, ltrace, and Valgrind. Comfort in reading low-level firmware and kernel code. Strong debugging skills using GDB and at least one of OpenOCD/JTAG, Lauterbach, or similar tools. Good understanding of build systems, with working knowledge of Cmake and Makefiles. Familiarity with integrating embedded builds into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitLab CI. Working knowledge of communication protocols including PCIe, I2C, RS232, SPI, and UART.
