Embark on a summer internship shaping the future of Google Cloud Silicon. You'll collaborate with architects and designers to define, model, and design next-generation Cloud Silicon, including TPUs, arm-based servers, and network products. This role involves balancing performance, power, features, schedule, and cost to drive optimal solutions.
As part of the ML, Systems, and Cloud AI (MSCA) organization, you will contribute to the hardware, software, machine learning, and systems infrastructure that powers Google's services and Cloud. This is an opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology at hyperscale, prioritizing security, efficiency, and reliability.
Interns will engage in dynamic, multi-faceted responsibilities within Cloud Silicon development. Specific tasks will vary by team but may include contributing to product definition, design and implementation, and collaborating with engineering teams.
You will actively participate in the process of architecting, modeling, analyzing, and defining next-generation Cloud Silicon products. This involves working towards achieving the optimal balance between critical factors such as performance, power consumption, features, project schedule, and overall cost.
Candidates must be currently pursuing a PhD degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
Proficiency in programming languages like C++, Python, Verilog, and UVM is essential. Experience with industry-standard tools such as Synopsys and Cadence is also required.
Demonstrated experience in at least one of the following areas is necessary: hardware system integration, product design, computer architecture, digital design verification, digital circuits, ASIC physical design, FPGAs, embedded systems, or memory systems.
