This role is pivotal in enhancing our CMDB, Discovery, and Service Mapping capabilities to boost data quality, service visibility, and operational resilience. You'll be instrumental in supporting enterprise-wide initiatives such as cyber defense and incident remediation. We seek a candidate with profound technical expertise and a strong platform engineering background, adept at navigating complex ServiceNow environments.

Key qualifications include proficiency in JavaScript development and scripting, a solid understanding of ServiceNow fundamentals and platform architecture, and the ability to independently troubleshoot technical challenges. Practical experience with CMDB, Discovery, and related ServiceNow concepts is essential for success in this role.

Design and develop scalable solutions across CMDB (aligned with CSDM), ServiceNow Discovery, and Service Mapping. Build and maintain robust patterns for service modeling, CI relationships, and dependency mapping. Develop custom scripts, integrations, and automation using Business Rules, Script Includes, Flow Designer, and REST/SOAP APIs. Optimize platform performance and data ingestion pipelines.

Drive CMDB health and maturity, implementing Identification & Reconciliation Engine (IRE) rules and data certification. Engineer and optimize horizontal discovery and service mapping patterns, probes, and sensors. Troubleshoot complex discovery and mapping issues and build reusable patterns for various application stacks and cloud services. Integrate with external tools to enrich CMDB data and automate CI lifecycle updates.

Essential requirements include ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD). Highly desired certifications include Certified Implementation Specialist – Discovery, Service Mapping, and Data Foundations.
