Join our Business & Market Insights Data Science team within the Services organization as a Senior Technical Program Manager. This role is instrumental in leading the delivery of cutting-edge, data-driven solutions at scale. We seek a proactive, hands-on leader capable of autonomous operation, bringing structure to complex initiatives, and ensuring predictable outcomes across diverse teams and stakeholders. Your expertise will be key in managing day-to-day program execution, dependencies, and fostering collaboration with engineering, product, and stakeholder groups to ensure seamless delivery and alignment.

As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end execution of Data Science initiatives, ensuring work is meticulously scoped, prioritized, planned, and tracked for successful delivery. You will develop and maintain integrated program plans, incorporating milestones, dependencies, risks, and contingency strategies. A core part of your role involves driving accountability across engineering, product, stakeholder, and partner teams, ensuring clear ownership, active management of actions and blockers, and adherence to delivery commitments.

You will collaborate across Mastercard to align priorities, resolve dependencies, and mitigate roadblocks, guaranteeing consistent progress towards strategic delivery goals. Your technical acumen will enable you to understand the program domain, contribute to solution discussions, and guide engineering teams through challenges without direct coding responsibilities. You will proactively manage the entire lifecycle of data science work, reporting progress, addressing gaps between teams, processes, and systems, and resolving any impediments to ensure successful outcomes. You will also define and monitor key execution metrics to enhance transparency, predictability, and accountability throughout the program, leading effective operating mechanisms like planning sessions, status reviews, and retrospectives.

We are seeking a candidate with proven experience in delivering complex technology projects as a Technical Program Manager or in a similar capacity. A solid understanding of Agile and hybrid delivery models, the software development lifecycle, and driving execution across multiple engineering teams is essential. You should possess the technical depth and judgment to navigate ambiguity, structure intricate technical challenges, and translate loosely defined priorities into actionable plans.

Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences will be crucial. We value systems-level thinking and the capacity to partner with engineering on architectural decisions, APIs, and platform strategies. A data-driven mindset, utilizing metrics and dashboards to improve transparency and program outcomes, is highly desirable. Passion for continuous improvement and experience in refining team processes, operating mechanisms, and delivery quality are key. Strong servant leadership, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, focused on team enablement and collaboration, are also expected. Hands-on curiosity to explore platform capabilities, technologies, and industry trends is a plus. Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Aha!, Power BI, EasyBI, or MS Project is required, alongside a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
