As a Senior Technical Program Manager within Foundational Data & Model Services, you'll be instrumental in shaping the data and AI foundations that drive Business & Market Insights. You will own the critical data pipelines, sophisticated data models, and overarching standards that ensure consistency and reliability for all downstream analytics and insights products.

Our team operates in a dynamic environment, managing both legacy Hadoop/Hive infrastructure and a significant migration to Databricks. This dual focus requires maintaining the stability of existing systems while meticulously rebuilding data models on the new platform. In this pivotal role, you will steer the delivery across multiple squads, expertly managing interdependencies with platform teams and product groups.

Key responsibilities include:

- Championing the delivery of shared data models and pipelines, prioritizing adoption and impact over mere feature output. - Orchestrating the seamless migration from Hadoop and on-prem ETL to Databricks, including precise sequencing, cutover strategies, and eventual decommissioning of legacy systems. - Maintaining visibility of the legacy platform's operational demands within the delivery plan, ensuring production systems are not inadvertently compromised during migration. - Actively brokering dependencies beyond your direct control, collaborating effectively with central platform, cloud operations, and data governance teams. - Leading vendor and partner engagements, ensuring alignment on roadmaps, tracking milestones, and verifying performance against commitments. - Leveraging technical acumen to critically assess data modeling, pipeline design, and data quality decisions, clearly articulating trade-offs to business stakeholders. - Establishing the planning and reporting framework for a new team, encompassing intake processes, prioritization mechanisms, operational cadence, and executive reporting.

We are seeking a candidate who brings a strong blend of experience, particularly in technical program management within data engineering, data platforms, or analytics infrastructure. While not every individual needs to possess every skill, a solid alignment with most is highly valued.

Essential qualifications include:

- Proven experience managing technical programs in data engineering, data platforms, or analytics infrastructure. - Working knowledge of both legacy (Hadoop, Hive, traditional ETL) and modern (Databricks, Spark, Airflow) data technologies, coupled with robust SQL proficiency sufficient for scoping work and identifying risks. - Demonstrated experience with platform migrations where the legacy system remains operational throughout the transition, with a focus on successful decommissioning. - A deep understanding of data modeling principles, including schemas, lineage, common definitions, and the downstream impact of data drift. - Familiarity with data governance, access control, and the secure handling of customer data within regulated environments. - A track record of successfully driving the adoption of shared platforms through influence, evidence, and consistent follow-through. - Comfort and capability in navigating ambiguity, developing credible plans amidst evolving inputs, and adapting plans as necessary without viewing change as failure.
