EY is seeking a Senior Technical Lead with extensive experience in data platforms, specifically focusing on Microsoft Fabric and Azure. This role is instrumental in designing, building, and advancing enterprise-grade data and analytics solutions. You will be responsible for solution ownership and provide hands-on technical leadership, ensuring integrated analytics and automation use cases are effectively enabled.

This position requires owning architecture decisions within your domain, collaborating closely with business and product stakeholders, and ultimately leading a team of over 5 developers. The goal is to deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality data solutions that meet exceptional client and internal expectations.

As a Senior Technical Lead, you will be accountable for delivering robust data engineering solutions. Key responsibilities include owning the end-to-end architecture for Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data Platform solutions, translating business needs into detailed design documents, and making critical technology choices.

You will also act as a hands-on technical lead, contributing to complex development tasks and proof-of-concepts. Guiding development teams on best practices, ensuring solutions are production-ready, performant, and maintainable are crucial. This includes architecting and implementing solutions using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Azure data storage, and defining data modeling, performance optimization, and monitoring practices.

Further responsibilities involve designing secure integration patterns, enabling downstream analytics, and supporting integration with broader enterprise tools. You will define and enforce patterns for security, scalability, performance, and cost optimization, driving DevOps and CI/CD adoption. Conducting reviews for architecture, design, and code to ensure quality and consistency is also essential.

Finally, you will partner closely with product owners and business stakeholders, providing clear solution options and trade-offs. Developing leadership skills to mentor engineers and build team capability will be a significant aspect of this role.

A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field is required. The ideal candidate will possess 10–15 years of IT experience in data and analytics, with 3–5 years in a senior technical lead or architect role.

Proven experience delivering Microsoft Fabric and/or Azure-based data platforms is essential, along with a track record of designing and implementing scalable, secure data solutions. Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills are vital for working effectively with business stakeholders and product teams.

Technical competencies include deep expertise in Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, ASP.Net, and SharePoint/PowerApps. Advanced SQL and data modeling skills are necessary, as is experience with Azure storage patterns like Data Lake, SQL, and Blob storage. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities are expected.

Exposure to Power BI, integration patterns (APIs, connectors), and modern analytics patterns such as Fabric evolution and Databricks is highly desirable. Experience with SharePoint Framework (SPFx) for custom solutions and integrating with Microsoft 365 applications is also beneficial.

Understanding integration security standards, data access controls, and auditing aligned with enterprise policies is important. The ability to standardize data interchange, enable automation via Power Platform and Azure integration services, and manage ambiguity in complex data landscapes are key attributes for success in this role.
