As a Senior Consultant, you will provide L2/L3 technical support, focusing on enterprise Linux/Unix environments. Your expertise will be crucial in optimizing on-premises data centers and hybrid infrastructures. We are looking for a strong background in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Ubuntu Server, and advanced troubleshooting to maintain operational excellence and drive modernization initiatives within our Unix/Linux tower.

Key responsibilities include the installation, configuration, administration, and troubleshooting of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Ubuntu Server. You will manage OS patching, kernel updates, security hardening, performance tuning, and lifecycle management. This role involves managing logical volumes (LVM), file systems, RAID, and storage integrations. You will also implement, configure, and support Linux clustering technologies like Red Hat Cluster Suite, HAProxy, and Keepalived.

Develop and maintain automation scripts using Shell/Bash and Python, alongside Ansible for configuration management. Manage Linux network configurations, including bonding, VLANs, and firewall rules, and implement OS-level security best practices, including SELinux policies. Monitor system health and performance using various tools, handle L2/L3 escalations, and provide root-cause analysis for incidents. Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

We are seeking a Senior Team Lead with a minimum of 6 years of experience in Unix/Linux system administration. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field is required. Essential skills include strong hands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Ubuntu Server, coupled with expertise in Linux clustering technologies such as Pacemaker/Corosync, HAProxy, and Keepalived. Proficiency in Shell/Bash scripting and familiarity with Ansible automation are crucial.

You should possess a strong understanding of Linux internals, including processes, memory, storage, and networking. Experience with LVM, various file systems, permissions, SELinux, systemd, and performance analysis tools is expected. The ability to troubleshoot complex hardware, OS, networking, and storage issues in a multi-tier environment is vital. Experience with virtualization platforms and cloud basics is advantageous, as is familiarity with ITIL practices. Certifications like RHCSA, RHCE, or LFCE are highly desirable.
