Oracle seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to join our Technology Operations team. This role involves comprehensive system administration, performance analysis, and capacity management. You will independently handle server configurations, backups, and implement essential patches to bolster system security and functionality. Key responsibilities include monitoring and maintaining operating systems for optimal installation and performance, supporting internal application deployment, and conducting trend analyses for server capacity. You will install and configure servers, cloud infrastructure, and associated software, ensuring robust system configurations and backups. Maintaining system security, including privileged account integrity and file system security, is paramount. You will also implement patches to address vulnerabilities, deploy enhancements for performance and reliability, and manage the incident lifecycle to ensure system stability. Collaboration with internal teams and third-party vendors is essential for resolving integration challenges and high-severity incidents. Furthermore, you will support backup and disaster recovery processes, participate in drills, and maintain comprehensive documentation on system configurations, processes, and procedures.

Additional duties involve supporting cloud infrastructure, implementing CI/CD pipelines, and performing patching and version upgrades. You will also support Workload Automation tools, troubleshoot automation issues, and maintain cloud technologies. Core responsibilities encompass independently managing work, monitoring timelines, proactively prioritizing tasks, and adapting to resource shifts. Building and maintaining strong partnerships, understanding business needs, and actively listening to diverse perspectives are vital.
