Join NVIDIA's Display Driver team as a Senior System Software Engineer and contribute to cutting-edge GPU and Tegra platforms. This role involves developing production-quality system software for operating systems like Linux and Android, with a focus on display security technologies such as High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP).
You will work closely with hardware, firmware, security, and other system software teams to engineer reliable and secure display solutions, pushing the boundaries of graphical technology.
Key responsibilities include designing, developing, testing, and maintaining GPU/display kernel-mode drivers and embedded firmware. You will implement and maintain HDCP functionality, debug complex interactions across software, firmware, and hardware, and develop performance-critical, multithreaded applications in C.
This role also involves participating in design and code reviews, building automated tests for enhanced reliability, and collaborating with internal and external partners throughout the product development cycle.
Candidates should possess a BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience, coupled with over 5 years in system software, embedded software, firmware, or kernel-mode driver development. Essential skills include strong C programming and debugging capabilities, a solid grasp of operating system fundamentals, computer architecture, and concurrency.
Experience with low-level software development on Linux or Android is crucial. Familiarity with secure protocols, cryptographic concepts, and content-protection technologies will set candidates apart. Excellent analytical, communication, and collaboration skills are also required.
