We are seeking a Senior System Software Engineer to develop and productize NVIDIA's cutting-edge DRIVE OS software. Architect, develop, and enhance native/para-virtualized Linux/QNX device drivers.
Resolve complex system issues across Linux, Android, and QNX operating systems.
Lead architectural discussions for software components and collaborate with customers to support DRIVE software solutions.
Contribute to evolving requirements gathering processes and ensure traceability.
Coordinate with cross-functional engineering teams to meet customer needs and drive issue resolution.
Participate in architectural explorations, including feasibility studies and safety evaluations.
Optimize the performance of customer use-cases and functions within the Drive OS software.
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience, is required.
Possess over 10 years of overall professional experience, with a preference for 4+ years in the automotive industry.
Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the Android and/or Linux display software stack, including surface flinger, HW composer, and DRM/KMS.
Experience with display drivers, such as DP/HDMI out, is essential. Familiarity with display serializers is a plus.
Possess a strong grasp of QNX, Linux, and Android operating systems, with hands-on experience in QNX/Linux device driver development.
Exhibit strong C/C++ programming and debugging skills.
Maintain an in-depth understanding of ARM processor architecture fundamentals.
Have a solid background in embedded software development and a deep knowledge of the product development lifecycle.
Familiarity with functional safety architecture for ISO26262 compliance is advantageous.
Communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, across all technical and non-technical audiences.
