We are seeking a Senior System Software Engineer to drive innovation in power and performance optimization for cutting-edge platforms, particularly Windows on ARM devices.

Drive comprehensive power, performance, and Perf/Watt measurements on SoC and system platforms, focusing on Windows on ARM (WoA) devices. Characterize system behavior across various states, optimizing battery life scenarios like productivity, web browsing, and video streaming.

Analyze telemetry, firmware traces, and OS metrics to identify and mitigate performance bottlenecks. Design, build, and scale automated power measurement infrastructure. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable and tune new power features from Pre-Silicon modeling to Post-Silicon bring-up.

Develop advanced visualizations and detailed reports to summarize product health, isolate regressions, and recommend architectural or software optimizations to executive and engineering teams.

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, coupled with 5+ years of experience is required.

Possess a strong understanding of foundational and advanced power management concepts, including low power modes, P-states, C-states, S0ix/Modern Standby, DVFS, package power limits, and thermal throttling. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash for test automation and data parsing is essential.

Demonstrated experience with power tools on Windows/Linux platforms (e.g., WPA, HWInfo, ETL, Xperf, PowerCfg) and a solid grasp of SoC architecture are crucial. The ability to analyze complex execution metrics and balance power versus performance trade-offs is a key requirement.
