NVIDIA
NVIDIA leads the world in accelerated computing, driving innovation in AI, gaming, and scientific discovery. Join our Silicon Co-Design Group as a flexible hardware engineer specializing in System Features and System Integration. This role offers end-to-end responsibility for feature integration, debugging, validation, and productization across all NVIDIA GPU, CPU, Client, and SoC products. Your expertise will be crucial in resolving complex cross-team failures that impact program timelines, ensuring the smooth release of cutting-edge silicon.
This position is more than just compliance; it's about deep problem-solving where ambiguous, multi-team feature failures are root-caused and resolved. You'll tackle challenges that bridge architecture, silicon, firmware, and software, directly influencing product success and on-time delivery. Make a significant impact in a company that defines the future of computing.
Take full ownership of system feature integration and product development, covering areas like boot, clocks, DVFS, performance, and power system controllers.
Spearhead debugging and root-cause resolution for the most complex cross-stack feature issues, spanning silicon, firmware, driver, and platform, to deliver productized fixes.
Develop and implement AI-driven workflows to enhance feature validation, debug, and triage, aiming to improve cycle time, coverage, or escape rate.
Provide essential support for silicon bring-up, feature deployment, and GPU/SoC qualification through rigorous feature checks, PVT stress testing, and lab debug.
Build and maintain critical tools, scripts, and infrastructure for the team, continuously optimizing validation and productization processes for enhanced quality and efficiency.
Collaborate effectively with globally distributed teams, including architecture, ASIC, firmware, driver, software, and various bring-up teams.
We seek a candidate with a B.Tech/B.E. or M.Tech/M.E. in Electronics, Electrical, or Computer Engineering, complemented by over 5 years of experience in post-silicon bring-up, system integration, or feature design and validation for released GPU, CPU, or SoC products. Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve vague, cross-team feature failures is essential.
Possess a robust understanding of hardware, firmware, and software interactions, with foundational knowledge in board and system development, DVFS, control loops, SI/PI, timing, clocking, high-speed I/O, PVT, and thermal management. Hands-on experience with silicon, board, and lab debug is a must.
Exhibit practical understanding of GPU, CPU, or SoC architectures within PC, datacenter, or automotive environments. Proven experience leading efforts to resolve unclear issues across multiple teams is required.
Showcase a validated approach using AI technologies you've designed or scaled, with measurable impact on debug velocity, coverage, or escape rate. You should be able to articulate the limitations and potential hazards of AI tools in your workflow.
