You will work globally and cross-functionally with engineers and product managers to combat abuse and fraud with speed and urgency, contributing to user trust and safety.
As a T&S Ads Scams Analyst, your core mission is to protect users from offline scams originating outside the Google Ads platform. You will analyze data to inform product recommendations and develop global and hyperlocal solutions to proactively counter fraudsters. Ensuring legitimate advertisers have optimal opportunities to serve will also be a key responsibility. Utilizing Applied AI, machine learning, and other advanced techniques, you will optimize human review processes, identify enforcement gaps, and drive automation opportunities. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential to achieve business objectives and manage projects from inception to completion.
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is required, along with at least 4 years of experience in data analytics, trust and safety, policy, cybersecurity, or a related domain. Essential experience includes data analysis and effective stakeholder management. Preferred qualifications include a Master's or PhD in a quantitative field (e.g., engineering, computer science, mathematics, statistics), experience with scripting and coding languages (like C/C++, Python, Java), and familiarity with fraud or policy investigations, fraud risk management, internet advertising, or e-commerce. Experience in business analysis, statistical analysis, or machine learning is also beneficial, as are excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and detail-oriented skills in a dynamic environment.
